my friend was a violinist in Kanye's band and I can confirm through her that, that was indeed Daft Punk who performed, she met them sans masks...lucky girl! Older french fellows, so yes it was them.
I also heard Kanye was kind of a dick to the band and didn't even talk to them at all...whatever I guess he's too good for REAL professional musicians.
